The Humboldt County Board of Supervisors Looks Over Proposed Zoning Changes

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – The Planning Department went before the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors in regards to possible zone changes.

The Board of Supervisors is thinking about making zone changes in Humboldt County. But some concerns the Board had were how these changes could impact rural communities, timber production areas, high fire danger zones, and mix-used areas, such as housing and parking.

Director of environmental group EPIC Tom Wheeler says, they are in favor of the proposed changes. But they hope County Officials keep in mind how this could impact the environment.
