Third Earthquake Shakes-Up Humboldt County; Day 2 of Quake Activity

Humboldt County, Ca. (KIEM) A third earthquake has shaken up Humboldt County.

A magnitude 4.1 earthquake hit the county about 34 miles West-Southwest of Ferndale, which occurred just before 3:45 Sunday afternoon.

This after a 3.3 and 5.6 magnitude earthquake startled residents late Saturday night.

Experts say, aftershocks are normal which are considered earthquakes that follow the largest shock of an earthquake sequence.

According to the U.S. Tsunami Warning Center, this earthquake like the two from Saturday night has not resulted in tsunami danger.

Expert also say, if another earthquake occurs remember to drop, cover, and hold on.
