The Great Race Makes A Pit Stop In Eureka

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — Tonight, the great race made its stop here in Eureka down in Old Town. The nine-day car rally runs from Riverside, California to Tacoma, Washington.

Despite the fog, the old-school cars were welcomed into town as residents lined Second Street to get a good look. There was a car show and drivers from around the world received information about what Eureka and Humboldt County have to offer. Some drivers came from as far as Australia and Japan. The cars were out in old town until about 9 pm tonight.

The next stop along the way is Grants Pass, and drivers will take off first thing tomorrow morning.
