Civil Grand Jury Releases 4th Report

EUREKA (KIEM)- Humboldt County Civil Grand Jury has released a report investigating how Law Enforcement tools affect homelessness in Eureka.

After receiving multiple complaints alleging unfair treatment of the homeless, the Civil Grand Jury decided to investigate.

Through their investigation, they discovered the use of Law Enforcement as a primary tool in dealing with the homeless to be counterproductive.

The Civil Grand Jury says that every agency and organization involved with homelessness is sincerely invested in helping to end the crisis, but with lack of communication and coordination it is hindering achieving that goal.
