Assembly Member Wood Votes to Support AB 1054

SACRAMENTO (KIEM)- Assembly Member Jim Wood voted to support AB 1054 on Thursday.

The bill would stabilize the utility markets which acknowledge the importance of ensuring reliable, affordable power to communities, and facilitate compensation to victims of the 2017 and 2018 wildfires and protects ratepayers.

Wood says, “The wildfire tragedies that have plagued people throughout our state need our help and they need it now… this bill is a huge step forward, and there is more we can do to save lives and protect people from becoming victims of future fires.”
