Instrument Landing System is down at Humboldt County Airport

MCKINLEYVILLE, Ca (KIEM)– If you plan to travel out of the area by air this weekend, make sure to check your flights. The instrument landing system at the Humboldt County airport is down.

It’s due to an FAA update. According to Director of Aviation Cody Roggatz, the only impacts have been weather-related. So if you’re flying in or out of McKinleyville, expect delays and possible cancellations over the next couple of days.

The instrument landing system is expected to be back up and running by Monday.
