Recology Humboldt Volunteers Clean Up Cutten Elementary

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — Volunteers from Recology Humboldt County were out at Cutten Elementary school Saturday to help clean up the playground and help beautify the campus.

Volunteers started out their day bright and early. They worked on a variety of projects for the school. They included replacing some of their old picnic tables, putting up a brand new metal flag pole in front of the school, adding new wood chips to the playground area, and removal of weeds and other unwanted plants from the outside areas.

According to the CEO of Recology, they love doing these kinds of volunteer opportunities because it gives them a chance to give back to the community that supports their business.

According to Recology Humboldt, they hope to be able to do more volunteer events in the future.
