Car Show Takes Over Main Street at Fortuna AutoXpo

Fortuna, Ca. (KIEM) — Down in the friendly city, cars of all makes and models were lined up and down Main Street Saturday for the judged car show at this year’s Fortuna AutoXpo.

The event kicked off at 9 am and followed last night’s cruise down Main Street. About 300 cars participated in this year’s show.

Community members came to check out some of the vintage cars and talk to the owners. All of the participants were also the judges at today’s event and helped decide which car would win best of show.

We had the chance to talk to one car owner who brought his car out in memory of his friend who was an organizer for the event in the past. His friend had always wanted him to be a part of the show, and this year he finally was.

The AutoXpo runs until Sunday night with lots of other events planned. So if you didn’t get a chance to make it Saturday, go check it out Sunday before it ends.
