Tree Fire, Community Fire in Siskiyou County both at 50% containment

Siskiyou County, Ca., (KIEM) Firefighters are working effortlessly to get Highway 96 reopen as two wildfires in Siskiyou County grew since Saturday night.

The U.S. Forest Service says the Tree Fire along the Klamath River that was initially at 50 acres grew to a little over 80 acres since Saturday night.

Officials say the Community Fire, just west of the Tree Fire, also along the Klamath River, is now at 35 acres.

Both fires are 50% contained. The cause of each fire is still under investigation.
