Eureka To Celebrate U.S. Coast Guard Month with Softball Game

Eureka, Ca. (KIEM) — August is U.S. Coast Guard month here in Eureka and the city is celebrating with the annual Coast Guard versus Eureka employee softball game. The game is set for August 3rd with first pitch at 10 am. The public is invited to attend the game and barbecue lunch.

Following the game, Sequoia Zoo will host coast guard families with ice cream provided by eureka main street. The city will issue a formal proclamation at their August 6th council meeting.

Coast Guard Humboldt Bay will also be holding an open house at the Samoa Coast Guard headquarters on August 10th from 10 am to 3 pm.
