Coastal Commission Approves Trinidad Rancheria Hotel Project, But With Conditions

TRINIDAD (KIEM) – The Coastal Commission is giving the Trinidad Rancheria the green light to go ahead with its 100 room hotel project. But with conditions.

The Rancheria needs to make sure there is a supply of water and needs to be in agreement with the city.

In an 8 to 3 vote, the Commission found the project consistent with the Coastal Act. But voted against the viewing shed in a 6 to 5 vote.

The Rancheria is now working on a report to provide an analysis of the wells and must present their report within thirty to sixty days.
