Humboldt State University Launches Temporary Emergency Housing Program

Arcata, Ca. (KIEM) – Students at Humboldt State that are experiencing homelessness are now able to access emergency housing on campus. It’s all thanks to the recent launch of the HSU Temporary Emergency Housing Program.

The goal is to provide short-term housing for students facing housing insecurity. Emergency housing is available for up to 21 days during both the fall and spring semesters. It’s all made possibly by HSU’s Housing and Residence Life and the Campus Assistance, Response, and Engagement Services Program.

The program is supported by the Hearst Foundations grant, distribution of SB 85 funding, and continued support of basic needs grant.
