Victim Identified in Rio Dell Shooting as 26-Year-Old Johnny Mack Renfro from Texas

RIO DELL (KIEM) – The man who died in a shooting on Thursday evening is identified as 26-year-old Johnny Mack Renfro of Texas.

Around 6:30 on Thursday evening, police say two cars were driving into Monument Road from Wildwood. Renfro pulled over and got of his another, and that’s when another vehicle possibly a dark colored two door Honda fired multiple shoots at the victim.

Renfro was shot in the abdomen. When an officer arrived on scene, they found the victim still alive. Renfro was transported to St. Joseph Hospital where he later died.

Witness describe the suspect as a black man with dreadlocks. Police say, they believe the suspect fled north on Wildwood. Surveillance video captured the suspected vehicle. Police believe that one or more the suspect’s car windows are damaged.

Police say, they do not have an identity of a suspect at this time.
