National Weather Service Advises Families to Create Emergency Preparedness Kit for Any Natural Disaster

HUMBOLDT COUNTY (KIEM) – The North Coast is no stranger to earthquakes, wildfires, tsunami warnings, and major flooding. Experts say, it’s never too late to build your own emergency preparedness kit at home

The National Weather Service says, the Northern California doesn’t experience Hurricanes or Tropical Storms. But they advise families to plan ahead and have resources that can help families survive for days. Such as packing their emergency kits with food, water, a first aid kit, and batteries.

The National Weather Service says, to always check and make sure your go bag and first aid kids are up-to-date.
