People Flock to Willow Creek for Bigfoot Daze Celebration

Willow Creek, Ca. (KIEM) — The tale of Bigfoot lives on as people gather for this year’s Bigfoot Daze Celebration in Willow Creek.

Hundreds of Humboldt County residents filled the town’s main street for the event. The festivities kicked off Saturday morning at 10 am with a parade that began at Ray’s Supermarket and made its way through town. For those that were hungry, there was also the ice cream social. There was also food, music, local vendors, a car show, and even a softball tournament.

Saturday’s event marked almost 6 decades since the celebration was first started.
