Eureka Planning Commission Postpones Hearing on Proposed RV Park

The Eureka Planning Commission is looking at a proposed RV park and recreation facility along Waterfront Drive, but Monday’s hearing on the project has been postponed.

Right now, the land near Halvorsen Park on Waterfront Drive is vacant. The city has been thinking of selling the space. The area would be used for the construction of a 40 space RV park designed for short term stays.

According to the city, the proposed project also includes a new 100-foot floating dock on the Humboldt Bay. If approved construction could begin as early as next year.

The rescheduled hearing will take place on Saturday, September 20th at 9 am at Eureka City Hall.
