TRINIDAD, Ca (KIEM) – After the Trinidad City Council decided against a cell phone tower on Berry Road, they hope to work with AT&T and find a permanent solution.

The City wants to have continued service for AT&T customers in that area. Currently, the company’s contract to share a cell tower with Verizon on Trinidad Head ended this month.

Now, they’re at a standstill until they can find a location for a tower. Residents have recommended the Green Diamond property east of Trinidad.

The City wants to have a fully functional cell phone tower at a new location by March of next year.
