Public stakeholder meeting Wednesday for Offshore Wind Project

Eureka, Ca., (KIEM) The Redwood Coast Energy Authority will host a stakeholder meeting on local offshore wind energy apart of its series of workshops.

On Wednesday, the offshore wind meeting will include an update on RCEA’s proposed Redwood Coast Offshore Wind Project. Also the status of engagement with the fishing community, updates on Humboldt State University’s research on local offshore wind, and time for public input and discussion.

Nancy Stephenson of The Redwood Coast Energy Authority said the Redwood Coast Offshore Wind Project will be a big deal for the community if there is an opportunity to have a local renewable resource.

The stakeholder meeting will be Wednesday, September 25, from 5:30-7:00 PM at the Wharfinger Building in Eureka.
