LED Lamps light busy Arcata walkway

Arcata, Ca., (KIEM) The walkway connecting L.K. Wood Boulevard and G Street over U.S. Highway 101 in Arcata has a new feature.

According to reports, the location has been updated and now is equipped with lights.

The lights were converted to energy-efficient LED lamps.

The cost? Nearly $33,000 dollars.

Reports state that Humboldt State University gave $18,000 to the project. While Measure Z covered close to $12,000 dollars, and the city of Arcata covered the balance.

The lamps were put up after many suggested lights back in 2017.
