Caltrans Starts Removal of Hazardous Trees in Lake County

LAKE COUNTY (KIEM)– Caltrans begins the removal of remaining hazardous trees. They have identified hazardous trees along Routes 20, 29, 53 and 175 in Lake County that pose a threat to motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians.

After the Valley Fire Clean Up, certified arborist had reassessed trees that had the potential for recovery. Each tree will be evaluated and determine if it is an immediate or future hazard.

Hazardous tree removal began back on September 30.
