Humboldt United Bikers of Northern California Hold Veteran’s Ride

Fortuna, Ca. (KIEM) – In honor of Veterans Day Monday, United Bikers of Northern California held a veterans motorcycle ride from the Fortuna Veteran’s Hall to Ocean View Cemetery in Eureka.

The morning kicked off with a big breakfast event, followed by the ride at noon. Veterans and supporters were out there with their bikes and flying American flags with pride. Riders made their way to the Veteran’s Memorial at Ocean View Cemetery where they held a ceremony to remember those that lost their lives fighting for our country.

Taps was played on bagpipes, there was an honor salute, and it all wrapped up with a prayer and moment of silence. Everyone was there to pay their respects to those who have served and are currently serving in our military.

The Humboldt County chapter of United Bikers of Northern California hopes to hold the event again next year in Ferndale.
