EUREKA, Ca (KIEM)-You never know until you try. Just ask Malia Guilbert. The Eureka High School senior is a member of the Loggers basketball team.
She recently went to a sports clinic hosted by Sacramento State but not for basketball but rather rowing. It’s a sport she had never participated in until the trip to the State and Guilbert impressed the coaches so much, they offered her a scholarship.
On Monday, Guilbert signed her letter of intent to attend Sacramento State and told Redwood News she’s thankful for the opportunity.
