Crescent City Officers Gene Votruba and k-9 Django Retire

CRESCENT CITY, Ca. (KIEM) – Crescent City says goodbye to two of their dedicated officers: Gene Votruba and his companion, k-9 Django.

Officer Votruba has served with the Crescent City police department for 12 years, but before his dedication to the city, he served his country as a military veteran.

Together, Votruba and his loyal partner, Django have performed over 55 drug related arrests, and Django has located over 55 grams of methamphetamine, 359 grams of marijuana, 5.9 grams of heroin and over 205 paraphernalia items.

The city was lucky to have known and worked with the duo and thank them for their years of service and dedication to the community.
