Gene Lucas Community Center in Fortuna Officially Open

FORTUNA, Ca. (KIEM) – Residents of Fortuna now have a center they can call theirs.

The new Gene Lucas Community Center officially opened Saturday in Fortuna.

The grand opening was a celebration of the new family friendly site where the community will find classes offered by college of the redwoods and English express, are and cooking classes for kids, and much more.

The day also included a commemoration of the McLean Foundation’s 20th anniversary and a ribbon cutting with the Fortuna chamber of commerce.
