Heroin Found Near Eureka Middle School

EUREKA, Ca. (KIEM) – A man is arrested after drugs were found near a Eureka middle school.

The Humboldt County Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop Thursday afternoon on the 3300 block of Broadway in Eureka.

Agents located 1. 5 pounds of heroin found hidden in the vehicle and took 23-year-old Jesus Pastrana from Sonora, Mexico into custody. Pastrana is believed to be a member of a large drug trafficking organization based out of Central California

The task force then went to a wooded area near Zane middle school where Pastrana was seen earlier and located five pounds of heroin and two pounds of meth.

Pastrana was booked into jail for possession and transportation of controlled substances for sale. He is ineligible for bail at this time.
