New Directions Has one Goal: To Help Make Humboldt County Clean

ARCATA, Ca. (KIEM)- A community service organization that has been around for seven years has one sole purpose, to help make the North Coast clean and safe for its residents.

With a staff of just seven workers, New Directions has no limits to the size and what kinds of trash they pick up in the community. Whether in a field or outside a business, they will come to help out.

They work six days a week and recruit men who are homeless that want to work.

Founder John Shelter has been doing this type of work for almost 20 years and wants to continue making a difference one location at a time.
