Newsom: California Shutting Down all State Parking Lots, Effective Immediately

SACRAMENTO, Ca. (KIEM) – Due to the coronavirus pandemic growing worldwide Governor Gavin Newsome held a press conference announcing California is shutting down all state parking lots, effective immediately. This comes in response to crowds at beaches while California is under a stay-at-home order.

According to the state parks department, all campgrounds are closed while non-campground areas such as hiking trails remain open.
