New Covid-19 Testing Site Up and Running in Humboldt County

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Ca. (KIEM) – A new covid-19 testing site will bring a dramatic increase to Humboldt County’s testing capabilities.

The site was assembled in just two days and will have the ability to test about 12 people an hour and 96 total tests in a day.

Health officer Dr. Frankovich says that the online platform will allow the public direct access to testing without referral from a health care provider.

While the site is getting ready for the public at large, it will begin by testing health care workers, first responders, and other high-risk groups.

As of Wednesday, the site has already performed over 140 tests.
