Two vehicle collision leads to extrication

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – A woman is extracted from her vehicle after rear-ending a Recology truck, in Eureka.

The accident occurred at 6540 Myrtle Avenue, just north of Redmond Road.

Around one this afternoon a Recology truck driver was parked on Myrtle with lights on as he was removing grass waste in the area.

A woman believed to be around 70 did not see the parked truck, causing her Subaru Crosstrek to crash into the truck.

Paramedics transported her to the St. Joseph Hospital where she was treated for moderate injuries.

Both parties involved are expected to be ok.
