Humboldt County resident tests positive for COVID-19, resides in Trinity County

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) – Contact tracing has been completed after the Trinity County Health and Human Services became aware of a confirmed COVID-19 case in a Humboldt County resident.

The catch is, that resident has been residing in Trinity County for the last two weeks.

All known individual close contacts have been identified, but Trinity County Public Health says it can be difficult to determine the extent of community exposure within sectors that were visited by the individual and the consistency of masking.

The Humboldt County resident has since returned to the area and will continue to be monitored by Humboldt County Department of Health and Human Services.
