Locals, tourists flock to North Coast beaches for holiday

TRINIDAD, Calif. (KIEM) – The beaches of Trinidad were a hot spot on the Fourth of July.

Locals and tourists headed to Trinidad to celebrate the holiday. Parking was hard to find as people took to the beaches or the trails. Those who came to take in the weather and the views social distanced or wore a mask.

According to Todd Rowan, an employee at the Boat Basin Gift Shop, the business saw more foot traffic with the blue skies after experiencing poor weather recently. He said while there was an increase, the number of customers was still not as high as normal.
