8 new Covid-19 cases, 2 more recoveries reported Wednesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — 8 new cases of Covid-19 are reported by the Public Health Department Wednesday bringing the county’s total case count to 175.

Once again, health officials are reminding residents of the risks associated with travel during a pandemic. According to Dr. Frankovich, 8 recently diagnosed cases were determined to be a result of travel outside of the county.

Two more recoveries have been reported as well, bringing that number to 144. Of the total cases, 104 people had contact to a known case, 45 were travel related, and 23 were a result of community transmission. Right now, there are 3 cases still under investigation.
