ORLEANS, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a kidnapping suspect, believed to be armed and dangerous, who was last seen in the Orleans area with a 27-year-old female victim.

Deputies are searching for 43-year-old George Rose of Humboldt County. He is believed to have kidnapped 27-year-old Joy Hong of Fieldbrook. Rose and Hong are believed to be together and traveling in a burnt orange 1999 Ford F-350 with California plates 5T93690.

At some point, Rose stopped the vehicle in the Orleans area, left two of the victims, and fled in the vehicle with Hong. Tuesday afternoon, one victim was able to locate a nearby residence and contact law enforcement.

Rose is described as a white male adult, 6 foot 1, and about 180 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. Hong is described as an Asian female adult, 5 foot 5, and about 175 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
