Two sustain critical injuries after crashing into tree

FERNDALE, Calif. (KIEM) – Two people are in critical condition after crashing on a quiet road in Ferndale.

It happened shortly before seven Thursday evening when, according to CHP, a black Cadillac was most likely speeding down Grizzly Bluff Road before hitting the shoulder.

CHP says the vehicle then hit a tree and spun around. The car ended up facing the opposite direction it was driving.

Two male occupants were in the vehicle and they are believed to have sustained serious injuries.

No other vehicles were involved and the cause of the incident is still under investigation.
