Zogg Fire burns over 40,000 acres, 3 deaths confirmed

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — Fire crews are now battling the Zogg Fire that’s burning north of Igo in Shasta County.The fire has burnt about 40,300 acres so far and is 0% contained.

The Shasta County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed 3 civilian fatalities so far, and 146 structures have been destroyed. Crews with the August Complex Fire have shifted support personnel to Hayfork with another team brought in to manage the Zogg Fire.
