Police uncover illegal cannabis operation in Eureka neighborhood

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) — Police in Eureka uncover an illegal cannabis operation in a neighborhood following ongoing community complaints and concerns. On Monday, officers served a search warrant at a home on the 200 block of Boyle Drive.

They uncovered a large cannabis processing and distribution operation. EPD seized about 1,280 pounds of processed bud, about 35,000 pre-rolled marijuana joints, and 1.4 pounds of concentrated cannabis. EPD also found numerous packages of heat-sealed marijuana packages ready to be shipped to the East Coast.

No arrests were made, but the responsible parties have been identified and interviewed. The case will be sent to the District Attorney’s Office for review.
