Friends of the Dunes held a restoration day in the name of plant preservation

MANILA, Calif. (KIEM)- Friends of the Dunes held a restoration day today at the Ma-le’l Dunes in Manila, all in the name of plant preservation.   

The non-profit’s mission – to promote native diversity while engaging community members and garnering interest in protecting the coastal environment through the hand removal of invasive plants.

Formal knowledge or training is not required for these events, anyone can participate. Just bring your curiosity and passion for conservation. Knowledgeable staff will provide assistance identifying invasive plants and will guide participants with the proper removal on non-native vegetation.
