The Red Salmon Complex reaches 72% containment

KLAMATH, SIX RIVERS, AND SHASTA-TRINITY NATIONAL FORESTS, Ca. (KIEM) – The Red Salmon Complex reaches 72% containment with more than 143,000 acres burned.

Moisture levels remain low, which allows for the fire to remain active.

Crews have successfully completed their mission to protect cultural areas near the Devil’s Backbone.

 As containment increases, crews will start shipping equipment and supplies back to camp.
