University offers online speaking events for community

ARCATA, Calif. (KIEM)-Humboldt State University held their 22nd annual community dialogue on race, Saturday.

The event was moved online and featured key note speaker, Yale professor and award winning author Claudia Rankine.

Rankine founded the Imaginary Institute, created as a way to engage the subject of race in the United States. 

According to HSU Rankine’s work helps readers to wrestle with the continued reality of racism in America.

On Monday HSU will host another online event focused on Medicare, and how to access the system.

This event will give participants tools needed to maneuver through the Medicare system and what to look for before enrolling.
