Twelve new Covid-19 cases, two more recoveries reported Thursday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 12 new cases of Covid-19 Thursday.

Of the total 711 cases since the start of the pandemic, health officials are monitoring 82 active cases.

As far as means of transmission, 413 people got the virus from contact with a known case, 163 from travel, and 90 a result of community transmission. There are still 45 cases under investigation.

On a more encouraging note, 2 more recoveries have been reported as well, bringing that number to 620.
