EHS Girls Wrestling helps clean up community

EUREKA, Calif. (KIEM) – The Eureka High School Girls Wrestling squad did not let the COVID-19 pandemic affect the team’s fundraising efforts.

On November 14, approximately 20 wrestlers took to the streets of Eureka to clean up the community. Part of the annual trash pickup, the team collected over two thousand pieces of garbage. The event raised money for the team with the sponsorship of 25 businesses.

Last year, the team completed a three-peat as H-DNL District Champions and placed third in the NCS Section Championships. The Loggers are looking to continue that success this season.
