Local high school district continues in person learning despite county’s request to move online

FORTUNA, Calif. (KIEM)-The Fortuna Union High School District Board of Trustees decided in a unanimous vote to continue to offer three educational options – including  in person learning.  

FUHSD Board President Charles Ellenbrecht said, Thursday in a statement that read in part, “The Fortuna Union High School District is proud to be able to offer many educational options, distance learning, in person and independent study.

“These options are available because the student, staff and community have been diligent in following the protocols and safety measures to fight the spread of COVID-19.” 

The Fortuna High School District asks anyone who thinks they have COVID-19 symptoms to call their health care provider and immediately isolate at home.
