HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Office of Elections has released its final vote count following the 2020 election. Michelle Bushnell has officially defeated incumbent Estelle Fennell for 2nd District Supervisor.
It was a pretty close race. Bushnell got 51.74% of votes, and Fennell got 48.26%. Breaking that down further, Bushnell finished with 416 more votes than Fennell did. Fennell had been in the role for 2 terms.
Looking at the election as a whole, this year almost 82% of registered voters in Humboldt County cast their ballots.
