Guy Fieri raises $21 million for unemployed workers

FERNDALE, Ca. (KIEM) – Ferndale native Guy Fieri has raised millions of dollars to support restaurant workers who have been impacted by the Coronavirus pandemic.

The host of ‘Diners, Drive-Ins, And Dives’ started the restaurant employee relief fund back in March, and has since raised 21 and a half million dollars. 

Fieri also reached out to food-related companies like PepsiCo and Uber Eats to help raise the money.

According to an article in Bloomberg Business, the money will be distributed to about 43 thousand people- who will each get a $500 dollar grant.
