35 new Covid-19 cases, 17 more recoveries reported in Humboldt County Tuesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 35 new cases of Covid-19 Tuesday. The total case count has risen to 1,137 with health officials monitoring 254 active cases.

Just over 40% of the total cases contracted the virus through contact with a known case, about 15% are connected to travel, and close to 8% a result of community transmission. Roughly 35% of cases are still under investigation.

On a more encouraging note, 17 more recoveries were also reported bringing that total number to 874.
