30 new cases of Covid-19 reported in Humboldt County Wednesday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 30 new Covid-19 cases Wednesday.

A case reported last week was from out of the county, so the total case count is now 1,957. Health officials are tracking 622 active cases.

The county has reported one new hospitalization, but the number of people currently hospitalized for Covid-19 is still seven with two people in the ICU. Northern California’s ICU capacity has dropped slightly to 24.4%.

On a more encouraging note, 144 more recoveries were also reported bringing that number to 1,312.
