42 new Covid-19 cases, 30 more recoveries reported Thursday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department confirms 42 new cases of Covid-19 Thursday.

A case reported earlier in the week was from out of the county, so the total case count now stands at 1,998. Health officials are tracking 633 active cases.

The county has reported 4 new hospitalizations. There are 8 people are currently hospitalized with Covid-19, and 3 are in the ICU. Northern California’s ICU capacity is now 25.4%. The most common form of transmission is still contact with a known case.

There were 30 more recoveries also reported bringing that number to 1,342.
