HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM)- The Alzheimer’s Association chapter in Humboldt County is recruiting volunteers to help prepare for this year’s walk to end Alzheimer’s.

The association will have a zoom meeting Thursday, February 11th at 5:30pm.

Those taking part in the meeting will learn more about the organization, hear from current volunteers and about positions that are open.

“It’s a healing experience actually being able to volunteer for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s,” said Marty Coelho, the Marketing Chair for the Alzheimer’s Association. “When you are battling this disease, it’s really dis-empowering and discouraging and it really helps families and their patients to get engaged and feel like they’re part of the process to end this disease.”
