39 new Covid-19 cases, 29 more recoveries reported in Humboldt County since last Thursday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department has reported 39 new cases of Covid-19 since the last report on Thursday.

Public Health has removed 23 previously reported cases due to either being a false positive, unconfirmed presumptive positive, or because the person was not a resident. One hospitalization was also removed due to a false positive. The total case count is now 3,025. Health officials are monitoring 155 active cases.

In the last week, 20 more cases have been reported in northern Humboldt, 48 more in the greater Humboldt Bay area, and 3 more cases in southern Humboldt. The biggest weekly increase has been among people in their 50’s with 14 new cases followed by people 10 to 19 years old with 11 new cases.
