14 new Covid-19 cases, 10 more recoveries reported in Humboldt County Friday

HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. (KIEM) — The Humboldt County Public Health Department has reported 14 new cases of Covid-19 Friday. The total case count has risen to 3,349. Health officials are tracking 126 active cases. Ten more recoveries were also reported bringing that number to 3,189.

The California Department of Public Health has announced a higher threshold for reassignment to the most restrictive purple tier for Covid-19 restrictions. Humboldt remains in the red. CDPH is also relaxing some restrictions. Beginning tomorrow, the state is allowing breweries, wineries, and distilleries that don’t serve meals to reopen outdoors with safety precautions in place for both the purple and red tiers. Bars remain closed in the red tier.
